So I thought I better start blogging my "progress" again. Maybe it will help.
At the very worst, I just want to be 126 as a norm. At the best I want to be weighing in at 118 on the morning of the 1st of July.
So day 1 of blogging my weight
6th June - 127.2

Hi Don,
Thanks for the confidience boost, much needed :-)
Hello, it's Rick again and I must remind you of the math involved when you try to lose 8 pounds in the next 24 days. Every pound is worth 3500 calories so 8x3500 equals 28000 calories. You must run a deficit of 28,000 calories in the next 24 days to lose 8 pounds. Now 28,000 divided by 24 equals 1167. You told me your bmr was about 1300 calories so you would only be able to eat 200 calories a day which of course would put you in a starvation mode. I'm sorry to give you the bad news...it's simply a matter of math. The reason you can't lose 8 pounds in a month is because you are so close to your ideal weight. It isn't like the old days when you were 50 pounds overweight and your bmr was probably 2000 calories. Then you could have lost 8 pounds in a month because you could have eaten 900 calories and run the deficit of 1167 calories. Please be more realistic about your weight loss. If you tried to lose 4 lbs that would be 14000 calories and 14000 divided by 24 is equal to 583 calories. Your bmr of 1300 less 583 is about 800 calories you could eat everyday. Now that is a doable number. I'll be following your progress to see how it works out
Rick
