Welcome Edward Jonathan Warburton

Edward turned up 10 days early. :-)
He is soooo adorable, but I am sure most parents think that of their little bundles of joy.

Acid Reflux help

(here is the disclaimer, I am NOT a doctor nor a nurse, I have not formally studied medicine)
I do tend to try things out on myself. I tried out calming my stomach issues with the baby gripe water which worked a little bit. Yesterday I started looking into Potassium because I had been getting cramps in my legs in the middle of the night and feeling faint with my heart doing some funny quick steps to add to everything else. I went to the chemist asked for Potassium, the chemist made me up a bottle of Potassium Chloride 600mg, I had one tablet when we got back at about 3 - 4 pm and another at about 2 am when I needed to get up. Get this I have not had acid reflux for over 12 hours now :-). I feel like I have hit the acid reflux jackpot. So ladies if you are thinking of copying please check with your doctor/ OB or midwife first. This is the first time I have felt so human for so long for at least 6 months. I still got a bit of leg cramp last night but it was shorter than the other few nights. I have found a link this morning showing others using Potassium for reflux since http://www.heartburnreliefblog.com/heartburn-relief/potassium-helpful-
for-heartburn-relief-21/

And I will let you know how I go :-)

They have been doing this for years.

A company that is intending on being sold makes people reduntant to make the books look better. The new owners go in and make even more cuts. The new owners sees that the company is not doing so well, so they sell and the whole thing happens all over again. Silly but true.

Japans earthquake 8.9 then tsunami

First our Christchurch City in New Zealand, and like something thought that that was not enough death and destruction, multiplied it by too much and hit Japan like it was a little ant colony :-(
With my heart still hearting for our Christchurch people, its now going out to Japan.

Christchurch Quake - this time disasterous

Note for historical reasons -
Yesterday at 12:51 in the afternoon Christchurch had a 6.3 Earthquake at a depth of 5km, 10km out from the central city. It was September the 4th last year at approx 4am in the morning we were all thanking our lucky stars that the 7.1 earthquake hit when no one was in the Christchurch city center. (7.30am 23rd Feb Wed) This time presently there are 65 dead and many injured, at least 3 buildings have collapsed . More info to follow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Canterbury_earthquake
My heart goes to Christchurch as they are still pulling people out of the rubble.

Just a curiosity - Is this the human age that declined or the rotation of the sun dramatically slowed down?
