Weight is creeping up again

My weight is creeping up again and its time to do something about it again. I'm still waiting on my wedding boots. And I want to get proper measurements with them. I want to be back down to 118 before I get measured again.
Presently I am 135. Telling the world seems to make it easier to loose.

In response to the news tonight

What rubbish, again on tv we are getting told that we definitely have global warming as a direct response from humans. We don't have enough data to fully disprove their theory. But where is their evidence to prove this theory?

My theory -
That its not global warming.
Its my ice theory. We are no longer in an ice age so...........................
If you pull a block of ice out of your freezer, do we then say that global warming caused the ice to melt? Honestly, give me proof I'm wrong and then I will give in.

The ball last night

Was brilliant. The theme was gangster and glam, I think Richard looks great all dressed to kill.

My first B+ last night

yes a bit annoyed that this was not also an A or A+, thats the end of my straight. On the lighter side though I am presently still an A+ average :-)
Feeling a bit bogged down presently with work, wedding arrangements and study. One step at a time.

America what would you do with out Michael Moore?

Just watched "Sicko" - I know its not biased as also been told about how bad your government medical system is by Americans.

In New Zealand we aren't perfect, but our public hospitals have brilliant doctors and nurses, hospitals are free for having our babies.

We have after care help through an organisation called plunket that help new mums deal with baby queries and making sure they are healthy.

And if an operation goes wrong in a private hospital they are raced to Auckland hospital (yes public) where they have better facilities.
If your child is under 5 years of age taking them to see a doctor is free.
Medication is subsidised, although not always the best of the drugs.

Don't get me wrong, we have grossly large waiting lists for operations. My Uncle waited 6 + months to get a quadruple heart bypass. But America this was free.

New Zealand is not a communist country.

After seeing how your government / health system / insurance companies treat you - I'm happy I live in New Zealand.

Its not what you can you for your insurance companies but what they should be doing for you.

this blog comes from my new toy

I have a darling Asus eee pc701 and just love it. It fits in my purse. :-)

Richards and My Wedding is going to be

in the time period of the late 1800's to go along with the Howick Historical village and to fit in with the 1860 built church.
http://www.fencible.org.nz/
Doing the study on the time period, the fashion etc is interesting to say the least.
Found a lovely lady recently moved to England to make my wedding dress.
http://www.sallycdesigns.com/
Still umming on the bridemaids current choice.
bridemaid dress possibility
From what I can see of bridesmaids from that time period they all seem to also be in white.
links to photos I've found online

Want to hear something funny

(I heard this from my favourite radio station this morning - zm)
The Aussies have a very successful speeding campaign at the moment.

Along the lines of 'no one thinks of you as a big man when you speed' and women waving their pinky (smallest finger at them) suggesting that they are small.

Anyway New Zealand is not going to take on this campaign because it won't be received well.

lol - i thought that was the whole idea.

Just in addition to my last blog

Why do people defend these photographers saying they are just doing their job. Hired hit men are just doing their job too. Should we start defending hired hit men, or suggest both get jobs that allow them to sleep better at night.

Besides there are many other photographic jobs that don't involve stalking people, like the lovely photographer we are getting to photograph our wedding.

Vent finished again.

What gets my goat recently

Our main newspaper, on the front page is a photo of Princess Di, in her last moments of her life it says.
...."Trevor Rees-Jones holds his hand up and chauffeur Henri Paul stares into the camera shortly before the fatal crash."

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/topic/story.cfm?c_id=1500905&objectid=10467767

I'm soooo shocked, am I the only one who is absolutely disgusted, New Zealand Herald bought this photo and stating that its just before the fatal crash. If you had that blinding light flashing into the vehicle (hence Trevor holding his hand up and just look at the amount of light in that vehicle at that time of night), with people chasing you and concerned for the safety of such precious cargo, how well could you drive?????? Could the photographer who took this picture be Diana's murder???????? What do you think???????? I'm hacked off enough to forward this blog to our National News Paper, because I don't condone the paid endorsement that led to Diana's death.

My list of things still needing to be invented

1) silent vaccum cleaners

I will have completed my 5th course next week

I have shortened my course hours 5 hours in the evening after work was too much, was getting too tired, and Richard was missing me and I missed him. So its now down to 3 hours a night.
This time next year I will be up trying to eat something being very happy and very nervous, Richard and I will be getting married and there is lots to do still to prepare for this day.
Well gotta get going....

Tuesday, September 18, 2007

Finally another paper completed

and not as good as my other papers, but I'm still not complaining about an A. :-) all going well, just need to speed up.

Monday, September 17, 2007

quick note

Planning for the wedding is going well, have a time and place. Been putting links to photographers, cars etc in my nzfindit.com website to reference in future and may help others in Aucks also.
Gotta run...

for the last 2 weeks

I have had this terribly annoying cold.
Headaches, feeling like I'm talking from within a bubble, feeling achy, saying that I have a runny nose is putting it far too lightly.

3rd Paper

and another A+ and it was 100% this time. All smiles....

Thursday, August 16, 2007

2nd paper exam done

and I'm happy to say :-) , yes another A+, missed out on one question again. I'm definitely not complaining though, and I'm very intent on staying on this roll. Would be great to not just get my diploma, but to also walk away with a merit or honours or what ever this school calls it. :-)

School

is going well. When doing the similar diploma 6 years ago now the difficulty was that I could not relate it to much of everyday surrounding. This time even though there is no time to do after hours study as such, my work is my study. :-) My first paper last week was a 97% pass (A+), I'm hoping this is a continuing trend. The paper I'm doing now is more hardware/ software orientated than the application one previous, not my strong suit. Watch this space for the latest update.

PS. I have bought a domain called youareadipstick.com lol. After buying it I wondered if its just a NZ saying. A colleague at work suggested uploading a picture of a dipstick on it, I think thats a great idea, will probably do that this weekend if anyone wants to visit it.

Tuesday, August 07, 2007

I started school last night

I think its exactly what I need. Nice and quiet, the study is quite different to any thing I have had before. I will need to learn to read faster, but apart from that it all seems easy to understand and get through, with lecturers on hand.

Lots still happening

My holiday fat is going bye bye.
I'm starting school again on the 6th of August (night school to do my second diploma in computing "diploma in business systems", level 6 )
and my best friend is moving to Aussy for good. :-( , but I'm told we will have free accommodation when going to surfers paradise.

Tuesday, July 24, 2007

In reference to my 5th of July blog

(giggles) and in Richards very sweet and also very short words from his blog.
"On the 5th (whilst in Phuket,) I asked Suzanne to be my wife and she accepted. It was then made official on the 21st when she received her ring."
Yes we are engaged, and very happy.

Monday morning again

Had an excellent weekend. Went to Thai Flame in Botany last night, their pad tai meals are soooo yummy, just a nice reminder of our holiday meals and for quantity and value very very good. :-), will be going back. Oh and great service also from the staff there.

Thursday, July 19, 2007

Well back in NZ

and getting back into the swing of things and thinking the next holiday would be nice to go back to phuket :-), just a note to self more than any thing else why Phuket again.
1) No sinus problems - no hayfever or asthma
2) The temperature is not too hot for me
3) The shopping for summer clothes and tailored clothes is great
4) The people at the Evason were just lovely
5) I can relax there

Day 11

The last full day has nearly come and gone. I've taken some mini 10 min movies of this paradise with me from Richards camera. I've had my last Chicken Penne Pasta from room service :-( and will have my last Pad Thai tomorrow for lunch. Tried a Daiquiri for the first time today at lunch, lemony with a bit of a kick.
There have been a few times its rained over the last few days but it rains later in the evening and over night and by the time we get up for breakfast its all tried up again.
I don't want to leave, Richard is missing wireless and being able to drink water from the tap again.
We went down to "into the beach" for lunch today, then to the infinity pool to cool down and did a little bit of sunbathing, then back up to the room for dinner on the balcony and off to pick up Richards tailored clothes.
This view, lovely smiley people, great service this view.

Day 10

Went shopping again, hope I'm not over the weight limit for my suitcase. Specially after I've added the 2 suit Jackets, 2 skirts and 2 Trousers.

Day 9 The Holiday is going sooo fast

Had an all over body aromassage, facial and pedicure. Pure luxury.

Monday, July 09, 2007

Day 8

We went up the road to pick up our laundry (about 1/2 the price of the resort laundry), had a look at the little shop and bought a pretty big oriental fan and baby umbrella.
Having a very lazy day, decided to walk around the resort and take photos. Its such a beautiful place.

In the evening we went back down to the front gate where our tailor also is. What he has done of the suits are looking really great. Another fitting again tomorrow night (the 9th)

Sunday, July 08, 2007

Day 7

Decided to spend a bit of money and get some suits made up, cant wait to see them.
Went to bon island for some r & r. What a beautiful beach.

Friday, July 06, 2007

Day 6

Richard had a few problems with the server in the states, decided to crash, which is not great for his clients. Unfortunately that was our morning gone, good news is I'm now all caught up on my blog again, and we are going for a guided tour around the island from 1pm today.

Day 5 evening

Went to the hotels restaurant where we had a buffet dinner. What a beautiful view.
........ To be filled in later.

Day 5

On day Five we decided we would walk up the road and go to the markets just up around the corner. It was a bit further than I thought and it was not up and running when we got there (11 - 11.30ish), we decided to catch a taxi to Patong Beach/town center and go shopping. For equal to $200 NZD I bought 1 watch, 2 bags, 1 purse, 1 good red evening dress, 4 good tee shirts, 1 loose light top to go over sun burnt shoulders before they get any worse. I'm not good at haggling.

In a shop.

Man outside tailors trying to pull in customers. (Most tailors have these men outside, they are very pushy, and there are many tailors)

There are many stalls, and it look like all cables are above the road. I am hoping the higher ones are the power lines as some are at arms length in some places.

Phuket - Day 4 of our holiday.

If we can afford to do this again we will. The weather is beautiful, the threatened scattered thunder storms have not been noticeable if they have even happened. The Evason where we are staying is such a lovely hotel. Its been over cast all but once, but the temperature is very agreeable.

The pic is our scenery from our hotel belcony. The people here are so lovely.

On day Four we went to see the FantaSea Show, we were driven through Patong Beach/town center, what an excellent show, silly me for not bringing the camera, thankfully Richards mobile has a pretty good camera on it. We also had dinner there, that was an experience and a half, Richard loved the options of food, I felt more like I was on a conveyor belt because we are all seated together, its a very good idea asking where we are from, I don't want to know what it would be like if they decided to seat the Palestinians with the Israelis. We were very tired by the time we got home.

In the Resturant.

The entrance to the FantaSea show.

One night in Bangkok,

(1st July – 2nd July 2007)
Our first morning in Thailand, only half a day in Bangkok.
I’m very tired as we only got a few hours sleep before picking up dad from the airport at 3ish am on the 1st July, then getting to the airport at 12ish in the afternoon to fly out.
Decided that I love the temperature, best way I can describe the heat is like sitting in a luke warm sauna, not as humid as I recall Hawaii being.
Not taken any photos yet.
Write thoughts to add on later. The big red man statue on the left and green man on the right just before going through to the immigration line for processing were cool. Travelators like I remember LA airport having.
On the way to the Indra Regent in the shuttle we passed what can only be heaps of stray dogs, noticed lots of dogs in a pack. (I counted 5 dogs all sitting down together).
Also noticed on the way here that they drive on the same side of the road as us (Left side), the drivers seem to look at their indicator switch on their cars and shrug their shoulders, not knowing what to do with it, because Richard and I noticed no one using it to change lanes. And for such a big city they still have over head power lines (In most areas and suburbs in NZ they have all be put under ground).
When we got to the hotel, went out to see if any of the markets were open (had read info online about the pratnum markets being 24 hours), toktok man wanted to show us round, first suggesting he take us to a restaurant then trying to suggested we go to see a strip club. (shivers), this was all a bit too scary for me.
Can see a vast difference between those who have money and those who don’t already.
Found a store, bought a 80gm bag of salted cashew nuts for 40 baht (basically $1.60 NZD), and 50 gms of honey roasted peanuts for 10 baht (40 New Zealand cents). Richard and I ordered in, the Resturant took a while to get someone to get back to us for the “24 hour room service” But he apologized for the delay when we made our order and delivered. My cheese and mushroom omlete was devine, and Richard had a club sandwich. And this only came to 550 baht.($22 NZD), By the way they tip people here, so we are picking up on this strange custom, you don’t want to offend with too small an amount but you want to keep your spending money also.
Still need to get a power adapter so trying to store memories and make sure I save battery space. ------ Need to get photos.
10.50am (NZ time) 5.50am (Bangkok time) and I will be going down at 6am to book for a tour called the “City & Temples tour” hoping to get some great photos.

Saturday, June 30, 2007

I have decided to give myself a break

I did really well going from 182 to 122 pounds, and if I gain a bit during winter, not such a big deal.
I will make my maintenance weight between 120 - 130 pounds and not beat myself up so much.

regarding "Don't you absolutely hate when...."

my earlier post
"Don't you absolutely hate when....

You know something is going to happen, you wish it wasn't, you wish you aren't right... then it does and you still aren't ready for it."

But its me thats changing. It is so easy to point at others but its not others, its my feelings and my thoughts changing, they are still the same people. For once in my life I realise to go further I need to pull away from the safe, and get on with living. Its me evolving again. Its scary but it feels right. And this time I have a loving hand ready to offer a hand if I need it.

In other words, I was floating down the river to my destination, scared of what I may find and for a while I have been stuck in long grass on the side of the river where at least I know I'm safe and am comfortable. Time to carry on down the river to learn and grow.

Reality check

After over eating again today - with not too much regret I must add, I have decided that my goal weight should be 122 - 126. I'm a bit scared to look at the scales tomorrow morning. I think I was being slightly unrealistic going for 118 (or even trying). Crossing my fingers for tomorrow morning.

News Flash - I think I have worked out the 1/2 the water rentention problem

My drug of choice when in pain is Ibuprofen. Side effects of ibuprofen is da dah ... water retention.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibuprofen#Side_effects
"Common adverse effects include: nausea, dyspepsia, gastrointestinal ulceration/bleeding, raised liver enzymes, diarrhea, headache, dizziness, priapism, salt and fluid retention, and hypertension."

http://www.drugs.com/ibuprofen.html
"swelling or rapid weight gain;"

I feel like a yo-yo

I have been sooooo good and my weight does not want to recognise this. This is the week of the month I retain water, so I've got to look at this logically. I should start seeing my actual results in about a week and a half again, but its good to see how much my body can fluctuate. Logically, I can't be gaining true weight as I'm not eating enough calories to gain, I am eating enough to lose.

Wednesday, June 06, 2007

I'm going to lose this extra weight by the 1st of July

So I thought I better start blogging my "progress" again. Maybe it will help.
At the very worst, I just want to be 126 as a norm. At the best I want to be weighing in at 118 on the morning of the 1st of July.
So day 1 of blogging my weight
6th June - 127.2

Sunday, June 03, 2007

Ok decided that just extra water is not cutting it

I'm going to keep up the water drinking, but input vs output I think has to be taken into consideration also now. So putting exercise into the equation also.

experiment continued

I've weighed in at 127 today, yes a little bit higher, but not how I was gaining weight before on that many calories by any means, and I'm not feeling as hungry anymore, I can't eat as much as I used to. I will see how today goes.

Experiment on weight loss using water

Day Weight Glasses of WaterCalories Digested
1 127.8 16 2444
2 127.8 22 2175
3 126.2 23 2082
4 127 Today 5th June

Good Morning :-) Theory 2 is working well

Day of experiment when trying to maintain on 1200 calories with some blow out days I was 127.8
weigh in yesterday after eating 2444 calories and drinking 16 glasses of water was also 127.8
and
I'm weighing in at 126.2 pounds this morning
Yesterday I ate 2078 calories so not as many as the day before (but I did not feel like eating that much) and 22 glasses of water.
I was feeling a bit worried yesterday because I was sure by weight was going to go up.
But no, I'm definately going to having another calorie free day with lots of water :-) today

Friday, June 01, 2007

ok new theory based on the previous one :-)

Theory 2:
Our bodies aren't as stupid as we thought they were, the only reason why we are fat and aren't using the best of our brains is purely lack of nutrition. Yes lack of nutrition. Our bodies still accept food, but still don't utilise dehydrated and processed food properly because it does not come with enough water, so like a packet of dehydrated soup, add water through your day, your body releases energy because it recognises/registers the amount of food you are eating and slows you wanting to eat so much and by the end of the day you don't feel starved and you are happy to eat less, because your body knows how much it has actually eaten. :-) & :-) And because it knows how much it has actually eaten, your metabolism is faster.

Where did this theory come from you ask.... :-) the rest of yesterdays meals and water intake.
I've been taking courses online, in adddition to the food that I wrote down yesterday I managed to take in at least 16 glasses of water, and eat through an extremely yummy and fattening caramel square, 1 banana, 2 carrots, 1 standard size chicken and mushroom pasta which had a very yummy cheesey sauce,1 very large icecream dipped in chocolate and nutts and a standard size popcorn. I eat almost twice as many calories as I normally do, which would normally equal at least 2 pounds on the scales the next day.
I was really shocked (happily) to find no change, that was a very big binge yesterday and I didn't gain a thing. I talked about the courses I did yesterday, cause for the first time in a long time I felt little problem concentrating or stress over them. So yes I will be carrying on with this non diet today :-). Lets see what the scales say tomorrow. :-)

So there it is, 1 big discovery for me.

"Global warming" - NOT

Just saw an excellent documentary on "Global warming"
There are lots of scientists out there who don't exactly agree with my first thoughts, but they call it memory
http://suzannejeffares.blogspot.com/2007/04/global-melting.html
but they totally agree that us humans have little to no effect on global warming, with excellent reasoning behind this. So I'm sooooo not alone. :-)
the documentary is called
"The great global warming swindle"

I'm so happy that there are some really intelligent humans out there with reasons and examples. Hypothesis equalling observation :-)
p.s thank you google for this link for those who are interested in watching this doco

Coming back to work from lunch

I was walking up Shortland St, in town and I noticed this very pretty looking female, I noticed her clothes were almost falling off her, she was so thin, she was wearing a black pair of long trousers and a black work suit type jacket and you could still see her hip bones. I thought she must be a model, then I looked to the other side of the road and saw one of those big fat cameras that professional photographers use pointed at this female. So she was a model, far far too thin, my height or taller and I doubt she was over 45 kg. It was disgusting. I have decided that in all conscience I can't support magazines that employee anorexics as models.

OMG - This is the worst I've seen it

Home loan rates from a NZ bank
and housing prices are still going up (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/8/story.cfm?c_id=8&objectid=10436585)
Variable Rate 10.05% p.a
1 Year Fixed 8.90% p.a
2 Year Fixed 8.90% p.a
5 Year Fixed 8.60% p.a

again I say OMG

What???? This is as clear as mud,

make something illegal and then tell the police they have to ignore it.

from www.nzhearld.co.nz (our national newspaper)
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10437514
"After the anti-smacking bill is passed, it will be unlawful to use physical force against children for the purpose of correction but, as a result of the compromise, the police have been given explicit guidance to ignore an inconsequential smack.
The courts will still, ultimately, determine what "inconsequential" means."

interesting

In spark people there is a thread asking.....
"I want to loose weight because..."
and I think my answer for myself is all important for me
"I don't want to hide any more. I want to be seen to be noticed, to be a human being that has a right to be noticed and to be cared for and allowed to care."

ps.
I'm back on the hoodia gordonii, Radiances "hoodiaslim"
Sometimes I think its working and some times I don't think its doing any thing. It sayes it may take up to 2 weeks before it works. Its only been 3 days, so I'll advise on the progress.

Global melting

My theory,
(disclaimer - I don't know if there are any scientists/ other people out there who think the same way)

If you put ice in the freezer it turns into ice, pull it out of the freezer and it melts - duh you say, well you put the earth into the ice age guess what happens when there is now no ice age? ------ ummmmm duhhhhhhhhh

Temperatures are rising you say, well with the melting of the ice it will slowly get warmer anyway.

My opinion anyway.

Here goes.... again

I am going to try the maintainance thing again.
So I think I have the formula right this time

1 fibre meal - (either my all bran) or a salad meal
1 hard boiled egg or poached
2 pieces of fruit
1 low fat, low calorie meal - vege meal or salad meal
1 normal meal - this means proportional size (so still measuring if cooking), not my old far too big sizes
1 bite sized chocolate and weight watches icecream
or 1 small non diet desert

Even I think I can memorise this

I over ate yesterday and the scales aren't happy with me today - I'm up to 127 (and the only way its going is down)

Wednesday, April 04, 2007

well that was a complete failure

I am absolutely starving, finished this idea with 12 bluff oysters and a nitrous seaside (fish burger)..... still hungry

Study on myself

Last night I went a bit over board and my weight is up to 124.6 this morning. I have a theory I want to try out which would help me not have to rely on the dreaded calorie counting so much.
Eating small meals often. And see how this goes. Little meaning from 1 up to 100 calories every 2 hours. Its an interesting experiment anyway. And still drink 8 glasses of water a day.

Sunday - Round the bays

What a buzz - a bit scary I've not done anything like that before and being asthmatic and not ever being a good runner I can't say that I wasn't feeling a bit over whelmed with the amount of people and the 8.4K's
http://www.roundthebays.co.nz/
But I finished :-) and 70.18 Min's is not too bad for someone who used to avoid runs like the plague.

I'm sure I will be able to beat this next year :-)

I'm also happy to say that I have maintained my weight now since December, I'm in the healthy weight range comfortably and the doctor is happy with my excellent blood pressure, cholesterol is excellent and last blood test came back with an excellent as well. So all things going really well on the health front.

I can't believe it

I finally get my a into g and get a copy of my marriage certificate so I can get my divorce under way (from a marriage 8 years ago that lasted 10 months) to find at the bottom of the certificate that it was dissolved in 2003.
What a relief, a bit crazy though, there was no notification what so ever regarding me being contacted. So all this time worrying and stressing for nought, serves me right. lol

Yesterday was my birthday

I had a calorie free day to celebrate my birthday, I had at least 3 x the amount of calories in one day and the scales showed this. I gained 3.4 pounds over night. From 122 to 125.4 pounds. I'm not too upset, I wanted to range from 120 to 126 as a norm. But I'm suffering from the content of food. Indigestion for starters, I'm still bouncing off the walls from the amount of sugar. Richard bought me dinner - Hell pizza (yummy and extremely fattening), with garlic bread and Swensons for dessert - banana split - devine.
Dad rang to say happy birthday.

I'm 34 years old, I don't think I'm doing toooo badly for my age. :-)

Arggggghhhhhhh - I am sooooo worried

There was this tree in our driveway, pulling up the drive and I was also worried about it falling and hitting our roof or the neighbours roof (The tree on the other side of my property had been hit by lightening and wrecked the fence and just missed the neighbours car). So I was worried this might do the same. We had 2 contractors around to get it cut down, we decided to go with the second contractor due to being able to get it done for less and was more savoury. Neither contractor said anything about the tree being special or needing special permission from the council to pull the tree down.
The contractor that we got to do the job was supposed to do it tomorrow. This morning another contractor turns up (we throught we had cancelled the others to look at it because we were going with the second contractor).... so anyway this third one turns up this morning saying that the tree is a liquidamber and that it needs council permission first and that they more than likely won't give consent, that he didn't make the laws just telling me what they are. I rang my boyfriend straight away and said that we have to sort out the paper work etc first. He said that he would ring the 2nd contractor tonight to sort it out. I took my nephews out to the movies and came back to find the tree had been pulled down.
Was supposed to be tomorrow, but was done sometime between 11am and 3pm today.
Richard phoned the council tonight and they will be calling him back tomorrow.... all very worrying.

I've said it before but after losing 60 pounds (about 24 kg)

I can safely say green tea curbs your appetite. If you want to lose weight and help to keep it off drink green tea, it is supposed to be great for many other reasons also (like lowering cholesterol and being an anti oxidant), but after losing 60 pounds which is approximately 24 kilo grams and keeping it off for the last 3 plus months, when I'm feeling hungry I will go for a green tea first (about 6 in a day is needed when I'm really hungry). It works, its cheap, and I'm talking from experience. And its healthy for you.

Why do humans look at other humans to measure

their wealth? (In life, love and money)
I am happy, yes I have bills (even the very rich have bills - they don't go away), yes I have a loving family (family does not have to be from the same dna), yes I have worked hard and I am happy with my job (I went back to school and I put the time and effort in, and I left a few lemons of jobs in my trail).
You make who you are - you control your own destiny.

As usual the Xmas holidays have come and

are totally behind us again. The weather has been a bit nuts in NZ this year and the weather reporters/forecasters are promising better weather for February (Which has always been a nice month in NZ).
Oh by the way I have grown my first pumpkin (pulled out of the garden last week) and also my first tomato (an acid free one - they taste nicer than the normal ones). Looks like there are more pumpkins, acid free tomatoes and cherry tomatoes to come.

Sunday, January 21, 2007

My sweetie is very intelligent.... He has made an excellent website ready to go .... he sayes not yet finished though. www.oddjobsnz.com
Very New Zealand friendly and I've not seen anything that can beat being able to advertise for free for jobs where you would not normal know where to go to find someone to do the job. And being able to find jobs that you might be able to do for work.
Excellent.
p.s. weigh in day again yesterday 123 pounds

Happy New Years everyone :-)

Well its the second day of the New Year.
We (Richard and I) spent New Years with Lisa and Blair, got to see the fireworks from Sky Tower, had drinks and dinner at the Hotel (The Copthorne Hotel on the waterfront in the City) we stayed at. (Dinner was very nice indeed).

My goals for this year -
Save money (pay off credit card)
Exercise as a norm
Not have to count calories anymore
To be/feel more confident, and to try to strengthen my memory
