After trying cry it out again and ending up with a baby with Laryngitis and still no luck getting him down that much. I am trying my own idea (if anyone knows a book similar that could help I would be interested)
stage 1) Get baby happy with being in cot again - during the day relaxing in cot sitting up and playing with toys*****Working :-)
stage 2) Do stage 1 while mummy is in sight and closing her eyes relaxing on the bed (hopefully this helps Edward learn how to do this himself) and do this 15 mins before morning and afternoon nap and hoping to try putting him in for 30 mins before bedtime tonight.
My idea is to associate relaxing and calm with the bed/cot
